Most children get through stages of development in pre-writing skills, and we can use a diversity of tactics to aid progress their skills.

4.Dot-to-Dot Prewriting Activities

When beginning to work with dot-to-dot activities, create simple ones, especially if working with a younger preschooler or a child with fine motor delays. "Down" and "beyond" are the outset writing motions to main. When starting this with my son, I made dot-to-dots with just 3 dots forming a "L" shape.

5. Bubble Letters

We first did this action with the "t" shape. I drew four "t" bubble letters on i sheet of paper. I modeled the first one for my son, so asked him to describe "downward and beyond" in each of the others. He was so proud when he did information technology!
